What Is Meccha Chameleon?

Meccha Chameleon is a hide-and-seek shooter that puts players into tense firefights where nothing is what it seems. One team transforms into everyday objects scattered across the map, while the other team hunts them down with weapons ready. Props can rotate, zoom, and taunt to throw hunters off track, making every match unpredictable.

Rounds last just a few minutes, but the pressure never lets up. Props must find spots that look natural in their surroundings. Hunters need to manage their limited health pool carefully, since wrong guesses waste precious shots. This push-and-pull between hiding and hunting gives Meccha Chameleon a distinct rhythm compared to standard shooters.

How to Play

Two Roles, Two Skill Sets

Spawning as a prop gives you 30 seconds to find a hiding spot and press E to transform into an object. Smaller items like cups or books blend far better than oversized furniture. Try to taunt with Q to mislead hunters, or stay completely silent and hope they walk right past.

Playing as a hunter means eliminating every prop before the timer hits zero. Switch between three weapons using numpad keys, aim with your mouse, and fire at anything that looks out of place. Every missed shot costs health, so random spraying will punish careless play fast.

Tips for Both Sides

Playing as a Prop

Corners with visual clutter offer better cover than open walls. Smaller objects draw less attention from hunters scanning a room. If a hunter closes in, a well-timed taunt from another room could pull them away from your position.

Playing as a Hunter

Strange placement is your strongest clue. A chair hovering slightly off the ground or a book facing the wrong direction must be treated as a suspect. This is especially true once the 30-second setup phase ends — listen closely for taunt audio to pinpoint hidden props.

Why Meccha Chameleon Works

Meccha Chameleon keeps matches short and social by design. The 5v5 format means you are never alone in your role, and prop mechanics reward creativity over raw aim. Hunters must rely on game sense and teamwork to sweep rooms efficiently. Neither side feels like an afterthought, which keeps lobbies active and every round unpredictable.
